Melphia Hall, 71 of Long Fork of Virgie passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born August 10, 1941 in Pike County to the late William Payne Johnson and Della Meade Johnson.
Melphia was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by nine brothers: Garland Johnson, Farlin Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Hershell Johnson, Buster Johnson, Okie Johnson, Clifford Johnson, Carmel Johnson, Hurley Johnson, four sisters: Isabelle Burke, Odgie Anderson, Barbara Spurlock, Lina Tackett.
Her survivors include her husband: Rabon Hall, one son: Dwayne Hall of Long Fork, one daughter: Darlene Hall, one grandson: Cole Ratliff, two brothers: Arnold Johnson of Hebron, Ohio, Forrest Dale Johnson of Long Fork.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home with Edley Newsome and Phillip Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the B.F. Johnson Cemetery at Long Fork. Visitation will be at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday with services Tuesday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
