William Charles "Billy" Kamakawiwoole, 69, of 2038 Makanani Drive, died Saturday. He was born in Honolulu and retired as a dispatcher from MTL in 1975 after 41 years of service. He was a great great grandson of Capt. John Harbottle and grandson of Naha, a chanters at Iolani Palace.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 7:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Memorial Park Mortuary. Services 7:45 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial at Kaahumanu Cemetery. Survived by wife Wenonah K.; sons, Peter K., William C., Lawrence K. and Wesley; daughter, Mrs. James S. (Wenonah) Miura; brother Ronald H. Harbottle; sister, Daisy Bent; 13 grandchildren.
