Funeral services for Miss Alice Orphia Capbell,85, retired employe of the Methodist Publishing House, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pettus-Owen and Wood funeral home, 4506 Charlotte ave.
Clyde Hale will officiate and burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
Miss Campbell died of cancer at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in a local nursing home after a long illness. She had lived at the nursing home for about five years. A daughter of Mary and Obediah Whitfield Campbell, she was born in Jamestown, Tenn, in Fentress county. She attended county schools and lived in several East Tennessee communities before moving to Nashville about 1900.
Miss Campbell was employed in the bindery department of the Methodist Publishing House for about 35 years. She retired about 11 years ago.
Miss Campbell was a member of Grace Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include two brothers, Luther and Foster Campbell, both of Nashville; and two sisters, Mrs. Icie Potts, of Nashville and Mrs. Dora Brickman, of Daytona Fla.
