Husband of Mary Ann nee Reed and Amanda Haupt nee Fegley. Son of Abraham & Susanna (Luckinbill) Boyer.


His will states that he was to buried next to his first wife (not named) and a similar tombstone to hers to be erected over his grave. His will also mentions his wife Amanda and his six children (but only names five of them) and one grandson: John, James, Kate (wife of Robert Saylor), Mame (wife of Milton Deibert), Lydia (wife of Michael Saylor) and Carl Saylor (grandson).


Amanda died in 1913 and was buried in Tamaqua somewhere.

"GODFREY BOYER was born in North Manheim township, in 1826. He married Mary A . Reed in 1849. He has resided on the place where he now lives since 1827. He has held the office of school director."
