Maxine Comer Jordan, 78, Attalla, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, surrounded by family at Riverview Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Her family includes her husband of 62 years, M.K. Jordan; four children, son: Kenny (Brenda) Jordan and daughters: Ann (David) Harp, Peggy (Charles) Gilliland and Sandra (Mark) Looney; four grandchildren, Kristi Maddox, Toni (Chris) Savage, Greg (Lisa) Harp, Niki Looney; one stepgranddaughter, Carla (Bubba) Tarrance; four great-grandchildren, Dakota and Savannah Harp, Holland and Hutson Savage; brother, Eddie (Trixie) Comer; brother-in-law, Paul (Maxine) Jordan; sister-in-law, Joan (Bob) Hessenbruch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Annie Comer.
Born in Cherokee County, Mrs. Jordan moved to Attalla upon her marriage and raised her family on Stowers Hill. Mrs. Jordan retired from Health-Tex and had operated Kelley Kar Kitchen at the Kelley Auto Auction.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Gadsden Health and Rehab Center, Riverview third-floor staff and Dr. Akinsanya.
No services will take place. Please, no flowers.
