Jesse Newman McClung, 82, of 741 Linwood Road, died Tuesday. He was a Lookout Mountain, Tennessee native and retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood, Johns-Ridouts Southside directing.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce (Mrs. James E.) Reed of Chicago, Illinois; a son, Dr. Jesse N. McClung, Jr. of Birmingham; three sisters, Thelma (Mrs. Everett C.) Easter and Mrs. Nena Cox, both of Birmingham, and Mrs. Mae Jackson, Gadsden, Alabama; and a brother, Dr. Ralph McClung.
