Born on Feb. 20, 1932, to the late William and Alice (Kick) Sapp, she was a resident of Dalton since 1953.
Retiring from Dalton Local Schools after 53 years of service as a cook, she was a longtime member of Dalton United Methodist Church and Dalton United Methodist Women.
Shirleen was always doing something for someone else while never asking for anything in return. She enjoyed spending time with, and entertaining family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially her sister, Darlene.
Preceded in death by a son, Keith; brothers, Arthur and William Jr. Sapp; a sister, Roxane Cosgray, she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Garland; a sister, Darlene Sapp; special friends, Terry and Lynn West, Myrtle Reynolds.
Private services will be held by the family with inurnment in Dalton Cemetery. Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton is assisting with arrangements.
