Joan Elaine (Lavery) Street, 71, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on August 24, 2017 at her home with her loved ones at her side. She was born on March 18, 1946 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Joan owned and operated her own craft shop, Hearts & Flowers, in Eliot, Maine for 10 years. She retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after over 20 years of service. Joan loved caring for animals, making crafts, one stroke decorative painting, working in the garden, spending time at the beach, and was a master at tracing back her family's ancestry. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jim R. Street; daughter, Donna (Parker) Long of Geneva, FL; son, J.J. (Cathy) Street of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Curtis Peters, Nick Peters, Becca Peters; great-grandchildren, Alex Peters and Emily Peters. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Stuart Meyer Hospice House. Donations in her memory may be made to: The Flagler Humane Society or the Blue Moon Cat Sanctuary. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be on Friday, September 1, 2017, 11:30 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach.
