He was a retired truck driver and of the protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Elva Turner Abrams.
Mr. Abrams is survived by his wife, Pauline Abrams; his children, Linda Owens of Newport News, Va., Donna Gene Yeaton of Plymouth, Mass., John Abrams of Sabego, Maine, Benjamin Abrams of Portland, Maine, and Mark Anthony Abrams of Newport News, Va.; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Lewis of Newport News, Va.; 13 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville, 757-336- 3001.
