Ellen Neville Hart died peacefully in the Adler Center for Caring on July 30, 2017 in Aldie, VA. at the age of 96.

Ellen is survived by her three children, Janice Carter (Richard) of Charlottesville, VA., Thomas Hart (Vicki) of Rockville, MD., and Carole Clark (T. Dale) of Ashburn, VA; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Hart, of Clinton, MD. and her brother, Albert R. Neville, Jr of St. Petersburg, FL.

Ellen was born on August 11, 1920 in Washington, DC to Albert R. Neville and Mollie A. Teufel. She graduated from Leilehua High School, Wahiawa, HI in 1937. Ellen worked at the Washington Daily News from 1939 to 1944.

She married Joseph F. Hart in 1943. Ellen was a devoted wife and mother, a frequent community volunteer, and an avid bridge player.

A private celebration of Ellen's life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Salvation Army.
