Jerry Admave, 68, died peacefully on August 24, 2017 at Lakeland Hospital after a very sudden but short illness.

Jerry is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 43 years, Debbie. They were best friends, partners in life, and an amazing example of what true love really is. He is also survived by his loving children; Angela (Brian) Fee of St. Joe; Joe (Tina) Admave of South Bend, Christopher Admave of Coloma, and Julie (Charles) Hartle of Coloma. Jerry had 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Kelly, Aaron, Jessica, Macaela, Bella, Max and a grandson due in October. In addition, he was survived by his mother-in-law, Anna Cupani of Stevensville; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Sophie Admave; sisters Carol Frank and Joni White; father-in-law, Robert Cupani; sister-in-law Tina Cupani, brother-in-law Bob Cupani and nephews Bill Frank and Matthew Frank.

Jerry was born on the south-side of Chicago on December 5th, 1948. As a child, he moved to Watervliet MI, where he attended Watervliet Schools. Many of his classmates remember him as the drummer and a vocalist of Parker’s Tribe.

He met Debbie in the summer of 1970 at her parent’s pizza place, Cupani's Casa, and shortly after, he became a police officer for the Covert Township Police Dept. Later, he took a job at the Watervliet Paper Mill where he worked for 17 years. After he retired, Jerry started the “World’s Greatest Duo”, Rum Boogie with his wife Debbie. After meeting Chief Randy Pompey, Randy joined their band and the threesome were rocking and rolling up until Jerry’s untimely death.

Jerry was well known for his extraordinary musical abilities, and the way he touched people with his dynamic voice, but what he would most want to be remembered for would be his passionate devotion to Jesus Christ and his unconditional love for his wife, children and his grandchildren.

A memorial mass is scheduled for 1pm on Thursday, August 31 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph MI. A Christian burial will follow the service immediately after at Coloma Cemetery in Coloma MI, followed by a luncheon at Road to Life Church in St. Joseph MI. All are welcome to celebrate Jerry’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church by 11 am Thursday August 31 2017. 220 Church St, St. Joseph MI 49085.
