Stephen (Abe) Kenneth Aberg, 67 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away at his home with his family by his side on August 28, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Steve was born July 11, 1950 in Austin, Minnesota to Kenneth and Joanne (Steele) Aberg. He attended Austin High School and studied accounting at Riverland.

Steve loved to hunt and fish and he enjoyed going to his trailer with Ron McKay and Terry Haage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Joanne Aberg, brother-in-law, Gary Plotts, uncles, Duane “Bunny” Aberg and John Yardley.

Steve is survived by his wife of 23 years, Teran Aberg, Austin, MN; he was blessed by four children, son: Zach Aberg (Betsy); daughters: Daisha and James Puccinelli, Amy Ann Cassidy, and Melissa Marks; grandchildren: Jenna and Colton; brother: Bill and Teri Aberg; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Jim and Doris Stalboerger, Belgrade, MN; sisters-in-law: Doreen Newkirk and DeAnne (Wayne) Guyette; aunts and uncles:  Phyllis Yardley, Chesterfield, MO, Joyce and Larry Crowe, Austin, MN, Marce Aberg, Red Oak, TX, and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Boettcher, Hinsdale, TX; nieces, nephews and cousins and a very special nephew, Hunter Guyette, who was always there to help.

He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and all who knew him.

A celebration of life service is pending.

Steve was born July 11, 1950 in Austin, Minnesota to Kenneth and Joanne (Steele) Aberg. He attended Austin High School and studied accounting at Riverland.

Steve loved to hunt and fish and he enjoyed going to his trailer. He always had a story to tell if you mentioned one of his many friends.
