He was born on October 30, 1931 in New York, NY to Calvin Dorsey and Gertrude A. Gilbert Dorsey-Brown.
Clinton is survived by two sons: Orville Bennett and Keith Oliver.
Clinton received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Wilberforce University; Master of Divinity Degree from the United Theological Seminary and further studies at Wright State University. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force.
He retired after many years of service as a school counselor with Troy High School. He was also formerly employed with Westwind Limo Company, Benham’s and Smith’s Catering Company, Enterprise Rental and Merchant’s Security. Clinton served as a pastor for several area churches, including St. James A. M. E. Church in Troy. He was sole proprietor of Clint’s Bar-B-Que Hut and Clinton G. Dorsey Associates, both in Troy. Clinton traveled widely in the Midwest, Scandinavia and the West Indies. He was a Life Member of NAACP and served as Education Committee of the Tri-County Branch. Clinton initiated Black Education Seminars that were held in Piqua and Troy. He also had some political interests.
Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at a later date in Dayton Veteran’s National Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
