CANEY - Birdwell, George Q., 86, passed away April 1, 2006. Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Havana United Methodist Church, Havana. Survivors: sons, George, Keith; daughters, Jean Ann Gross, Lydia Teague, Connie Kirkpatrick; step-daughters, Helen Stracham, Maxine Vernon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.

Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise (OK) - Tuesday, April 4, 2006:
George Q. Birdwell, 86, of Caney, Kan., died April 1 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville.

Cremation has taken place and services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Havana United Methodist Church in Havana, Kan., with the Rev. Dan Carr officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Havana United Methodist Church in care of Penwell-Gabel Graves of Caney.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of the home; two sons, George William of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Keith of Hutchinson, Kan.; three daughters, Jean Ann Gross of Welch, Lydia Teague of Morrilton, Ark., and Connie Kirkpatrick of Havana, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Helen Stracham of Bartlesville and Maxine Vernon of Caney, Kan.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
