SON OF PIONEER FAMILY PASSES

Funeral of Ralph Fell Martin Held Here

Funeral services were held today from Macy's chapel for Ralph Fell Martin, 53, McMinnville farmer and son of pioneers, who died Sunday after a month's illness. The Rev. S.J. Osborne officiated at the service.

Mr. Martin was born in Weston, Ore., Aug. 8, 1885, and came to McMinnville when a child. He graduated from the McMinnville high school and attended Linfield college for four years. He married Georgia Baumgardner June 8, 1910. He had been engaged in farming for a number of years and for the last ten years his interests were largely centered in turkey raising. He had built the house in which he and Mrs. Martin lived in his spare time.

He was a member of the McMinnville First Christian church and of the Woodmen of the World, McMinnville lodge.

Survivors include two brothers, Chester Martin, Edlon Martin, both of McMinnville and Mrs. Muriel Altimus, also of McMinnville. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
