Services for Lawrence Admas, 61, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Southern Baptist Church, Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Jimmy Cobb officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Perry. Mr. Adams was dead on arrival at Lawrence Memorial Hospital Saturday. He suffered from a heart ailment. Mr. Adams was a construction worker before he retired in 1977, He was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Hoxie, and lived in Winchester and Oskaloosa before moving to Lawrence in 1968. He was a member of East Heights Baptist Church at Lawrence. Mr. Adams was married to Nellie Henninger Dec. 4, 1943, at Leavenworth. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Alfred Elkins, Lawrence; five daughters, Mrs. Donna Donner, Mrs. Ruth Cheek, Mrs. Doris Goodlett and Lorraine Worden, all of Lawrence, and Mrs. Darlene Withers, Baldwin; a brother, Howard Adams, Denison; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Coffey, Lawrence, and Mrs. Adelia Powell, Topeka; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
