LOWGAP - Mr. David Dewey Moose, 76, of 335 Hidden Valley Road, husband of Mrs. Evelyn Bradley Moose, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 15, 1998, at his home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, Mt. Airy, conducted by the Rev. Zeno Groce, the Rev. Nila Souther and the Rev. Butch Holder, with entombment in the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Mr. Moose was born in Alexander County, on Feb. 7, 1922, son of the late Dewey David and Marie Hartness Moose, was a retired brick mason, veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World war II; member of the Moose Family Singers and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Bradley Moose of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Willie Chambers of Greensboro, Rhonda and Bobby Glidewell of Lowgap; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Alice Moose of Lowgap; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Polly Hutchens of Welcome, June Martin of Stony Point, and Carolyn bailey of Statesville; and by one brother, Richard Moose of Hickory. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moose was preceded in death by (*last part of obituary is missing).
