Mrs. Edith A. Abel

ALGONAC – Edith A. Abel, 64, died Tuesday, May 1, 1984, in St. Joseph Hospital-West, after a long illness.

She was born July 7, 1919, in Rochester, Minn. She had lived in the Algonac area since 1953. She married Edmon D. Abel in 1936 in Rochester, Minn. He died May 20, 1968.

She is survived by three sons, Bruce A. and Michael D., both of Algonac, and George R., Brunswick, Ga.; one daughter, Marlyss C. Thompson, Algonac; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Pastor Allan E. Buck, of the Algonac Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac.
