William O. Lea was the beloved husband of Eliza E. "Lizzie" Lea (who was born in NC in 1867). His father was born in Georgia and his mother was born in Scotland. His children were William H. Lea born in 1889; Joseph Hampton "Hamp" Lea, Sr., who was the beloved husband of Luciel P. Lea (born in 1897), and is responsible for starting "J.H. Lea and Sons Seafood" fish house in Hampstead in the early 1920's. "Hamp" was the father of Joseph Hampton Lea, Jr. (born June 29, 1916 and died Aug 1, 1978 and was a WWI veteran); Albert Lea (born in 1922); Bert Leighton Lea (born Jan. 24, 1924 and died Jan. 1, 1997); and Jack M. Lea (born in 1928). William's other children were Beaulah I. Lea born in 1894; James F. Lea born in 1898; Seferina Lea born in 1904 and Mamie I. Lea born in 1907.
