Licensed as an Amateur Radio Operator Lester held callsign KC8EVR since 1996.Lester Archie Broadie, age 79, of Columbus, Ohio, was born on August 21, 1938 and passed away on August 31, 2017. Proud veteran of the U.S. Army, avid amateur radio operator, and longtime member of the Cub Scouts of America. Preceded in death by his wife Gloria Broadie, parents Oscar and Estella Broadie, sister Lilia Germany, brothers Oscar Jr. and Samuel Broadie. Survived by his son, Lester A. Broadie Jr.; sister-in-law, Arta Jean Saunders; 3 step-daughters; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at C. D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
