Drake Scot Butler, 26, born September 5, 1990 in Belleville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Hazelwood, Mo.

Drake was a 2009 graduate of Triad high School and a graduate of St. Louis Culinary Institute, St. Louis. He had been working as a chef at Sloan's Pub House.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Linda Butler and Robert Bush.

Surviving are his son, Jaxon Alan-Vito Butler of Scranton, Pa.; Morgan Meyer of Scranton, Pa.; parents, Dawn R., nee Butler, (Colm V.) Brewer of Springfield, and Richard D. Bush of Hazelwood, Mo.; brothers, Cole D. (Yuliya Sierova) Bush of Edwardsville and Ian R. (Lisa Switzer) Bush of Troy; grandmother, Patricia Bush of Carmi; nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Wiens officiating. Interment will be at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville.
