Cafe Operator, Dies
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home for Louis T. Morel, 69 of 1341 E. Prairie Ave, Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 1 p.m. today.
Burial will be at Salem Cemetery.
Morel, who operated Curt's Cafe, 649 N. Water St. died at 1:45 a.m. yesterday at home.
He was the former operator of the Parkway Inn on East William Street Road, and was a former business agent for Local 423, Hotel & Restsurant Employees & Bartenders Union.
Mr. Morel was born in New Jersey July 25, 1888. He lived in Decatur since 1938, coming here from Chicago. He married Lorraine Robbins
Sept 5, 1942.
He leaves his wife, two sons, Armand and Louis Jr., both of Chicago.
