Cadiz, Ky.-- A farm accident Tuesday afternoon has claimed the life of a Trigg County resident. Trigg County Coroner John R. Vinson indentified the victim as Hershell Cunningham,81, Cadiz. According to Vinson, Cunningham was operating a tractor and bush hog on his Malone Road Farm. Cunningham was working on the tractor when it burst into flames and he was unable to escape the fire, Vinson reported. A son found his father and attempted to extinguish the flames with a fire exinguisher. Vinson said he had ruled the death as accidental from smoke inhalation.
