She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Acosta; her son, Albert Acosta, Jr.; her parents, Antonio Santos and Consuelo Rivera; her sister Mary Angel Benavides, and her brothers, Roy and Antonio Santos.
Connie is survived by her beloved children, Connie and Ed Baez, Patsy and Dan Flaherty, Anthony and Sandra Acosta; her precious grandchildren, Steven Baez, Jennifer Perez, Michael Baez, Danielle Huggins (Benjamin), Anthony W. Acosta, Krystal Acosta, and Mark Acosta; her treasured twin great-grandchildren, Elijah and Issac Baez; her sisters, Mary Santos, Lupe Espinoza, Tina Perales (Ernest), Judy Bravo, and brother, Louie Santos; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
The Acosta Family wishes to thank the staff at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing, especially Jeanette, for their exceptional care. The Acosta Family also recognizes with love and gratitude, the special care provided by Michael for Connie.
Connie will always be remembered as the neighborhood grandma, providing all the children (and adults!) of the area with home cooked meals, sweets, and maternal love. She will be forever missed.
Visitation with Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held at Mission Funeral Home East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Julia Catholic Church, Tillery and Lyon St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
