Butch was born in Marion on February 10, 1952 to the late Wayne Cable and Helen C. Dobbins of the home.
He was retired from McDowell Mechanical. A loving son, father, Papaw and uncle, he enjoyed the precious time he was able to spend with his family. Butch liked getting around his neighborhood on his lawnmower and his family and friends surely benefitted from the fact that wherever he went he dropped the mower down and kept the grass cut. It gave him much pleasure.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Cable and a sister, Faye Toland.
He leaves behind, in addition to his mother, his beloved wife, Lona Cable; a daughter, Tabatha Cable-Taylor and husband Casey of Nebo and a son, Jammie Silver of Marion; five sisters, Nancy C. Day of Marion, Jeanette C. Dalton and husband Dan of Hickory, Kathy C. English and husband Lester of Marion, Patsy C. Kellogg and husband Chuck of Marion and Jennifer McMahan of Nebo; seven grandchildren, Karsten Vance, Ysabela Cable, Claudia and Andrew Taylor, and Sammantha, Scottie, and Savhanna Silver, and numerous nieces, nephews and aunts.
