Funeral services for Mr. William Spencer "Pete" Desha, Jr., 85, of Monroe, will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 10, 2006, in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Desha, a retired farmer/rancher from Franklin Parish, LA, was born April 5, 1921 in Extension, LA and passed away Friday, July 6, 2006, at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe. He received a B.S./M.S. from LSU. He was employed as an instructor for Delta Ouachita Vocational Technical Institute from 1948 until 1983 where he received the Outstanding Instructor Award for Region 8. He was an Army Air Corps Staff Sergeant veteran of WWII.

His parents, William Spencer Desha, Sr. and Blanche Pryor Desha; and wife, Hilda Ann Hair Desha, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Ann Desha of Los Angeles, CA; and sisters, Shirley Taylor of Monroe, LA and Gloria "Bunt" Kosmac of Extension, LA.
