The body of Lizzie Pitman, formerly Miss Lizzie Beatty, who died near Brazil, was brought herte for burial in the Rowe Cemetery Monday.

Page 55-Mrs. Elizabeth Battin Pittman, age 63, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs, Ruth Green in Brazil Friday after a long illness due to cancer. She was born near Nyesville and spent most of her life in that vicinity. She is survived by the daughter and one son, Claude Battin; also two brothers and three sisters. Chas Beatty of Clinton; Dee Beatty of Mecca; Mrs. John White of near Rockville; Mrs. George Annakin of West Terra Haute and Mrs. Fred Mankin of Rockville and three grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Sand Creek Church Monday forenoon at 10:00. Rev. Plumley of Brazil assisted by Rev E.F. Egnew officiating. Burial in the Rowe Cemetery.
