Andrew Jackson “A.J.” Moriarty, 80, of Navarre, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, July 21, 2015, following a period of declining health. Born in New Madrid, Mo., Nov. 20, 1934, A.J. was an honorably discharged Air Force veteran, having served as a Staff Sergeant with the 98th Armament & Electronics Maintenance Sqdrn attached to the 98th Bombardment Wing of the Strategic Air Command. An area resident for nearly 60 years, he worked as a sales representative for Nationwide Insurance until his retirement.
Predeceased by his parents and his son, Army Captain Todd A. Moriarty; A.J. is survived by his daughter, Kellie (Daniel) Davidson, of Akron; grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Midock and Drew Davidson; and a brother, Everett Moriarty, of Georgia.
