Phyllis JoAnn Stover Ashbaugh went peacefully to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, in Aurora, Ohio. A leap-day baby, Phyllis was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Oil City, the daughter of Grace and Norman Stover.

She graduated from Cranberry High School, worked for Oilwell Supply/U.S. Steel in Oil City where she met her husband, Robert Ashbaugh and was married April 6, 1957, at the Heckathorn United Methodist Church in Seneca. They moved to Pittsburgh, in 1985 retired to Palm Harbor, FL, then relocated to Aurora, OH, in 2012 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Beth and son-in-law, Allen Park, of Hudson, Ohio; son, Eric Ashbaugh, of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Garrett Park, of Austin, Texas, and Andrea Park of Hudson, Ohio; and a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Faye Stover, of Sawtown.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Heckathorn United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Heckathorn Cemetery.
