Ben E. Abrams, 79, of Perry Twp., went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Titusville, PA on August 4, 1938 to the late, Frank and Eleanor Abrams and retired from Bell & Howell, following 23 years as a camera operator. He attended the First Baptist Church of Canton and enjoyed collecting, selling and trading at swap meets. Ben was an avid model car and plane collector.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Rivers.
He leaves his wife Marlene Abrams, whom he married on April 15, 1974; children, Jeffrey (Libby) Abrams, Julie (Harley) Britton, Debra Rivers and Michael Piatt; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two brothers, Gary (Judith) Abrams and Richard (Judy) Abrams. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11am at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery.
