Kristee Lee Adam, age 61, of Williamstown, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at her home.

Kristee was born May 15, 1956, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence E. and Twila (Stacy) Hunter. She graduated from Washington High School in 1974. She attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and the University of Iowa and graduated from Buena Vista University. She has spent the last 25 years with her best friend, Ron Hughes.
Kristee had resided in Washington, Fairfield and Farmington, Iowa, and has lived in Williamstown, Missouri for the last 13 years. She worked for Tractor Supply and Midwest Airgas in Fairfield. She most recently worked at Alfo Gomma America, Inc in Burlington, Iowa, a job she truly loved. She assisted Ron on the family farm, and they also bred and raised dogs, including Yellow Labradors, White German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Shar Peis. Kristee was an amateur pilot and she enjoyed snow skiing.
She is survived by her partner, Ron Hughes of Williamstown, MO; sister, Judi Genkinger and husband Ron of Washington, IA; sister-in-law, Marilyn Hunter of Montrose, IA; 2 nephews, 1 niece, 8 great-nieces and nephews, and Ron's extended family.
Kristee was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Lawrence Dean Hunter; and 1 niece.
