HELEN IRENE BAKER BRANDENBURG, 104, Myersville died Tuesday September 5 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the the wife of the late Charles Albert "Pat" Brandenburg. Born in Frederick on May 31, 1913 she was a daughter of the late Harry Cleveland and Effie Elizabeth Summers Baker.

In the 1940's she was employed by the Frederick Canning Factory, then was a cook at area restaurants and did housecleaning. She was a member and lifetime deacon at the Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville and was presently their oldest living member and was also the oldest living member of the Baker family.

She is survived by five children; Marvin Brandenburg, Naomi Runkles, Patsy McGaha, Linda Brandenburg, Noreen Arvin; and one sister, Thelma Neel, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her pets Rascal and Sassy.

She was predeceased by a son Charles Austin "Auty" Brandenburg and a daughter Alice Smith Huntsman and the following brothers and sisters; Annie Baker, Beulah Kephart, Charles H. Baker, Melvin LeRoy Baker, Elmer Hezekiah Baker, Ruben Daniel Baker and Dorothy Louise Baker.

Funeral services will be held from the Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville. Interment will be made in the Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville. Arrangements by the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown.
