Mrs. Rachel Buckner Is Called By Death

Had Lived in Linton for Past 12 Years- Funeral Thursday Afternoon.

Mrs. Rachel Buckmer, wife of Thomas C. Buckner, died at the family home on Third street, north east, about 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was born in Gernsey, O., and was at the time of her death 71 years and 7 months of age.

The family has lived in Linton for the past 12 years. Mrs. Buckner had been an active worker in the Glenburn Mission up to the past two years when ill health interfered with her church work.

The husband, one daughter and two sons survive. The children are Roy Buckner, near Linton; Leonard Buckner, of Sullivan county, and Mrs. Nellie Gaithr, of this city. Other relatives are Joseph Smith, Oscar Smith and Mrs. Bertha Fuller, of Tulip, Ind.; Cleveland Smith, of Newark; Pinzen Smith, of Cambridge, O., and Mrs. Ida Atkins, of Linton, who are brothers, half-brothers and sisters to the deceased.

The body was taken to the Welch chapel, prepared for burial and returned to the home. Funeral services will be held at the Glenburn Mission Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Miss Nola Yoder in charge. Burial will be made at Fairview.
