Thomas Lee Abercrombie, 72, of Navajo Dam / Lake Havasu City, Ariz., passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, in Navajo Dam. He was born April 15, 1945, in Cut Bank, Mont. to Ray Bland Abercrombie and Madge Navarro.
Thomas received an Associate's degree in Art and Business. He was employed at Abercrombie Pipeline, owned Abco Construction Pipe & Roustabout and owned United Field Services. Thomas retired at age 58. He was a member of the Eagles and Elks. Thomas was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He served in Vietnam and POA of Army Guard and received numerous service medals and accolades. His hobbies included boating, hunting, fishing, and being with family and friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Abercrombie and Madge Abercrombie; and grandparents, Albert Navarro, Clifford Abercrombie and Gran Abercrombie. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Abercrombie; daughter, Angela Abercrombie; brother, Jerry Abercrombie; sister, Susan Abercrombie; and grandchildren, Lacy Garcia, Ashlee Garcia and Miranda Garcia.
A visitation for Thomas will be at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 7 at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St. A funeral service for Thomas will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at Piñon Hills Community Church (Student Center), 5101 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington with Keith Corley officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington. A reception will follow burial at the Elks Lodge of Farmington, 801 N Municipal Dr.
Pallbearers are Rick Adair, Gene Garcia, Ken Raemaeker, Gordon Chenault, Mark Trujillo and Henry Broadhurst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Cancer Association (www.lung.org/).
