She graduated from Lehi High School, where she played tennis and was active in various clubs. She took classes at BYU. She was a licensed beautician and worked as a lunch worker for Weber County School District.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served in various capacities. While attending BYU she met Douglas Cameron McDowell at a Flu Hop dance. This choice encounter lead to their marriage on May 1, 1958. As a result, four daughters were born.
She is survived by her husband Douglas Cameron McDowell, and her four daughters, Karen McDowell (Val), Magna, UT, Janet Singleton (Myron), Wheatland, WY, Dawn Price (David), Roosevelt, UT, Lois Miller (Tim), Roosevelt, UT, 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her brother Bill Robison (Connie), Lewiston, ID.
In their later years they loved to travel. They traveled to 49 states and several foreign countries. When the chance arose, they were found camping in the mountains.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the North Park Ward, 4275 South 2175 West, Roy, Utah. Friends may call from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m., prior to services.
