Bobbie D. Hampton, 83 of Aurora, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born March 5, 1934 in Albertville, Alabama to the late Thomas Grady and Ellen Myrtle (Smith) Smith.

Mrs. Hampton has lived in Aurora since 1973 and retired in 1989 from the Hattie Larlham Foundation. Survivors include her children Debra Hampton Thomas, Gary Hampton, eight grandchildren, 13, great grandchildren and sisters Willie Smith and Joyce Cavett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Hampton on January 2, 2000, her son Larry Hampton and siblings Thomas, Irene Sanders, Pauline Patterson, Wilma Barclay and Nell Eubanks.

Calling hours will be Friday September 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Aurora Mennonite Church where she has been a lifelong member. Burial will follow at the Aurora Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Board of Missions 59 E. Mennonite Rd. Aurora, Ohio 44202. Condolences and memories of Bobbie may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
