GRAPEVINE -- Michael Ray Karaffa, Marine Top Gun and Retired American Airlines Captain, 62, of Grapevine passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 21st at the DFW National Cemetery. After the service, please join the family for a Celebration of Life at Esparza's in Grapevine beginning at 1:30 p.m. SURVIVORS: Michael is survived by his mother, Shirley Carolyn Karaffa of Ohio; his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Karen Karaffa of Ohio; nieces and nephew, Kristen (Mike) Strum of Ohio, Kelly (Kevin) Goldner of Ohio, and Matthew (Alyssa) Karaffa of Ohio; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of lifelong friends.
