William was a devote Christian beloinging to the New Hope Church in Hot Spring Co., AR. He was a farmer, but left his home, wife, and children at age 36 to join the CSA cause. He enlisted in 1861 and was discharged in 1863. God rest your soul, great great grandfather....(It is assumed his grave is in Leau Fraiz cemetery as that is where he died).
