Larry P. Abert, age 73, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Larry was a retired parts manager at Four Flags Motors in Glen Carbon. He was born April 9, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Harold & Vernice (Brendel) Abert.
Larry married Myrna S. Mallory on November 2, 1963, at the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville.
Besides his wife, Myrna he is survived by 1 son, Paul M. Abert & wife Darla of Edwardsville; 1 daughter, Suzanne Bogner & husband Dan of Edwardsville; 4 grandchildren, Nathan & Mallory Abert and Marissa & Ethan Bogner; and 1 sister, Judy Vallino & husband Bud of Troy, Illinois.
Larry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Edwardsville Moose Lodge #1561.
Larry loved camping, spending time with his family and grandchildren & his grand dog, Luigi.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the Wooden Nickel, 171 South Main, Glen Carbon, IL .
Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Edwardsville, Illinois.
