Mary Elizabeth Kenyon passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2017 at Glen Oaks Assisted Living in Urbandale, Iowa. She was 70 years old. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 am at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will follow from 11:00 until noon.

Mary was born on February 20, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Bruce and Mary Kenyon. She attended St. Mary’s College in Omaha, NE and retired as an Administrative Assistant at Offutt Air Force Base.

Mary had many interests and hobbies including volunteering at Boys Town, reading, watching TV, spending time with her family, going to the casinos and cheering for the Corn Huskers. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Mary will be greatly missed by her brothers, Tom Kenyon of St. Louis, MO, Bill (Holly) Kenyon of Coralville, IA and Bob Kenyon of NC; sister, Peg Pingel of Clive, IA; and aunts, Margaret Ann Paul, Johnston, IA and Barbara June Paul, Johnston, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
