SIMONTON - E.C. 'Buzzy' Butler, 74, passed into eternal rest Monday, September 11, 2017. He was met at Heaven's gates by his beloved wife, Frankie, and treasured son, Shannon, as well as many loved ones who had gone on before him. Buzzy was born August 29, 1943 in Lovelady, TX, to the late Opal Price and Eskell Butler. He met the love of his life, Frankie, in Houston in 1963. They soon married and welcomed the first of their two children, Shannon Dwayne. Their family was made complete with the birth of their daughter, Shawndi Sue. Although their time with Shannon was short, he was a guiding force in their lives, and led Buzzy and Frankie to a close relationship with God, a relationship which sustained them through the struggles of life.

Buzzy spent his career at Hudson Products, where he worked alongside his two brothers, Bud and Donnie. He had many responsibilities at Hudson, but spent the majority of his career as warehouse superintendent, a job which he loved. He retired from Hudson after 42 years, and spent the remainder of his life enjoying hunting and fishing with his son-in-law, David, spending time with his granddaughter 'Gracie', and caring for his first love, Frankie. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie, son, Shannon, brothers, Bud and Donnie, sister, Patsy, parents Opal and Eskell, and many other loved ones.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, from 6-8 PM at Simonton Community Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, at 1 PM at Simonton Community Church, followed by internment at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, TX.
