Mrs. Nola Elting, 90, Independence, died Tuesday at the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital. She was born in Missouri and had lived in Independence most of her life. Mrs. Elting was a supervisor at the Hilltop School before she retired. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Independence. She leaves a son, Richard Johnson, Fort Wayne, Ind.; three granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in Fasken Cemetery, Carthage, Mo. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the church.
