Armour P. Blystone, 93, of 333 Cole Road, Buffalo Township, died peacefully Tuesday at Abbyhill Assisted Living in Jefferson Township. Born in Apollo, PA, Jan. 23, 1912, he was the son of Ervin E. and Lola Ruth Baker Blystone. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tarentum. During World War II, he served as an Army sergeant in the Asia-Pacific Theater. For many years, Mr. Blystone was a yardman at Stanford Lumber in Apollo. Surviving are his wife of more than 30 years, Christine Stevenson Blystone; a grandson, Michael and wife Gina McGuire and their three children, Meggan, Jacob and Isaac all of Buffalo Township; two brothers; and a sister. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rhoda DeArmott Blystone, who died in 1974; five brothers; and three sisters. Burial, with full military honors, was at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo.
