Funeral services for Willis Augustus Arrington 71, of Tignall, Ga. were held Monday, October 27, 1986 at 4 p.m. at Mallorysville Baptist Church with Rev. Burch Beckum officiating. Burial with Masonic rites was in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, October 25, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta.

A native of Jefferson County, Mr. Arrington was the son of the late Thomas Gordon Arrington and the late Julia Carolyn Wilcher Arrington. He had lived in Wilkes County for 42 years and was a member of Mallorysville Baptist Church. He was the owner of Arrington's Radio and TV Shop; was a veteran of World War II and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alma Seymour Arrington; a daughter Nancy A. Hilley and her husband David of Tignall; two brothers, Gordon Lee Arrington and Robert "Bob" Arrington of Louisville, Ga. and two Grandsons, David Thomas Hilley of Las Vegas, Nevada and Stacy Hilley of Tignall.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lizzie Mae Arrington Cooper.

Pallbearers included George Myers, J.P. Dobson, William Collins, Lawrence Albea, Chet Wilson, Curtis Dunnaway and Jerry Roberson.

Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
