Born Dec. 5, 1918, in Hancock, Mich., he was the son of the late Mervin and Delta (Morin) Anthony. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine M. (Simpson) Anthony, in 1992, and by two step-daughters, Ruth Kitzmiller and Shirley Landis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two stepsons, William E. Kitzmiller, Manassas, Va. , and James E. Kitzmiller, Oakland; one stepdaughter, Helena M. Kitzmiller, Brunswick; 16 stepgrandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service wass conducted at 2 p.m. today, Dec 9, with the Rev. Arthur Evans officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
