Mrs Rena M Hess 92,of 184 Wilbur St. formerly of 1606 Sulzer Place,died Monday,April 2,1984 in St.Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.
She was born June 17,1891 in Utica,the daughter of Timothy and Anna O'Brian Leary and was educated in local schools.On December 27,1911 she married John M Hess,he died May 3,1973. Mrs Hess was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church,Utica.
Surviving Mrs Hess is one daughter Mrs Joseph (Gladys) Donovan,with whom she resided the past two years,four grandchildren,several great grandchildren,and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter,Mrs Daisie Walters,in 1977 and a granddaughter,Miss Debra Donovan in 1979.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:15 at the Quinn,Ryan & Nunn Inc.Funeral Home,2313 Genesee St.and at 10 o'clock from the Church of the Blessed Sacrament,where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.Interment will be in St.Agnes Cemetery.
