Note: James P. Kendall married first Sarah Sally HUMPHREY in 1816. He came to Morgan Co., KY about 1830 and had a farm about 2 miles from Martinsburg (now Sandy Hook, Elliott Co., KY). He was a constable in the Sandy District and Justice of the Peace officiating many marriages in Morgan Co. He later married Phebe Jane BOGGS in 1839. They migrated to Kansas about 1857. James and Sarah KENDALL's son Travis D. KENDALL a Methodist circuit rider publish a book in 1879 about his life and work in Eastern, KY which includes some names in the Little Sandy area. James P. KENDALL's children married in to WEATLY, DICKINSON, WILLIAMS, EPPERHART, HARRIS and LEMASTER families.Birth and death dates are calculated from census & 2nd marriage to Pheobe Jane Boggs.
