Chester E. Kaczynski (Uncle Chet to Many) 75, of Maine, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters Stella Komatinsky and Madeline A. Finch and two brothers Stanley and Steve Kaczynski. He is survived by his wife Carol Kaczynski; four sons and daughters in law Richard and Sandy Kaczynski, Penn Yan, NY; John and Melanie Kaczynski, North Carolina; Robert and Kelly King and John and Tessie King, all of Maine, NY; eleven grandchildren; his twin sister and her husband Ceil and Robert Gourley, Binghamton; a brother Henry Kaczynski, Cleveland, NY; a sister in law Jean Kaczynski, Maine, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force, for seven years. After his tour of duty, he returned to run the family farm on Kay Road in the Town of Maine, for many years. He was Past President of the Empire Keystone Milk Producers Co-Op. Chet retired from the Town of Maine Highway Department, a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 1390 of Maine and a Past Chefs DeGare of Broome Voiture #138 40/8. He loved crafts, gardening, hunting, camping with friends, playing with his grandchildren and was proud of his Polish heritage, his John Deeres and dog Sam.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Father Corey VanKuren, Pastor of St. Pauls Church, Binghamton officiating. Burial will be in Maine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 2-4 and evening 7-9 pm. Special thanks to everyone at UHS Hospitals Hemodialaysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Dr.s Martinez, Linda Fort, Joe Hogan and Bill Reynolds, Physical Therapist, for Gentiva, for special care that was given to him in his extended illness.
