Danny Lynn Cornelison 64, of Reno, died at 1:37 AM, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. A graveside service is set for 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the open air pavilion at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Tom Calk officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Danny was born September 23, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Dan Moody and Estelle Deloris Haislip Cornelison. He graduated from Rubidoux High School in California. Mr. Cornelison married Carrie Angela Nance on November 21, 1990 in Paris. He was retired from Campbell Soup Company.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Cornelison; four children, Jason Daniel Cornelison, Carla Estelle Cornelison, Skylar Dawn Cornelison, and Jennifer Nicole Pitcock; five grandchildren, ZaTorri DeJeion Norris, Alexius Deziree Norris, Gabrielle D’Ann Norris, Peighton Danielle Hoskins, and Caroline Elizabeth Unger; two great-grandchildren, Ari Estelle Norris and Rhy’Niya Danielle Norris; one brother, Joel Dean Cornelison; his mother-in-law, Joyce Nance; the mother of his children and dear friend, Patricia Calk; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Linda Jones; and his father-in-law, Philip Nance.
