Martha Virginia Eslick Youree, 91, of Twin Falls, died Oct. 1, 2004, at Life Care Center of Paradise Valley, Las Vegas, Nev.
A resident of Twin Falls for 50 years, she was born March 13, 1913, in Pulaski, Tenn. She was the daughter of Mark and Hallie Eslick and she grew up and attended schools in the area. On March 11, 1934, she married Robert E. 'Bob' Youree in Pulaski. She was a homemaker and with her husband, owned automobile dealerships in Shelby, N.C., Las Vegas, New Mexico and Twin Falls, Idaho. She was active in the communities in which she lived and belonged to the P.T.A. Twin Falls Memorial Hospital Guild, Twin Falls Country Club, Chapter BE of the PEO Sisterhood and the First Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Youree Shelton of Las Vegas, Nev.; a granddaughter, Shelia Jean Shelton of Orange County, Calif.; and one brother and his family of Pulaski, Tenn.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Youree; a son, Robert E. "Bobby" Youree Jr.; her parents, one brother and one sister.
As requested by Martha, a graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Park, with the Rev. Al Fry officiating. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, "Chapel by the Park." The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 209 Fifth Ave., Twin Falls, ID 83301, Attn: Endowment Gifts and Memorial Committee or to the Crisis Center of Magic Valley P.O.
